Chairman: Foundation of Data Protection Professionals in India ( Na.Vijayashankar, more popularly known as Naavi, has been a pioneer in the field of Cyber Law in India and continuing a similar role as the Data Protection legislation enters India.

Naavi is the founder of and . Naavi is a visiting faculty in a number of institutions including NLSUI Bangalore, Nalsar, Hyderabad, BMS Law College, Bangalore etc. He is also a guest faculty in NPA, and several other organizations.

Naavi has been a pioneer in developing cyber jurisprudence in India. He is the author of the first book on Cyber Laws in India in 1999 and several other books including “Cyber Crimes under ITA 2008”, “Section 65B clarified” and “Personal Data Protection Act of India (PDPA2020)” etc.

Naavi is also the founder Chairman of Foundation of Data Protection professionals in India dedicated to the development of Knowledgeable, Efficient and Ethical data protection eco system in India and developed indigenous Professional Certifications for endorsing Data Protection skills.

Naavi has pioneered the introduction of Certificate Programs for Data protection Professionals in India covering Indian Laws and Global Laws as well as related knowledge on technology, Data Audit and Behavioural skills.

Naavi has also pioneered an information security framework “Personal Data Protection Standard of India (PDPSI)” focused on compliance of data protection laws of India as well as GDPR and other country specific laws.

Vimal Wakhlu

Chairman & Managing Director of TCIL. A B.E. from National Institute of Technology, Srinagar 1977, and MBA Marketing from IGNOU, he has more than 38 years of experience in the field of Telecom including e-Networks, Mobile Communications, Satellite Communications, Optical Communications, Troposcatter Communication, Data Transmission, Maritime Communications, and Radio Communication.

Starting his career with NHPC in 1977, followed by Overseas Communications Services (later VSNL and now Tata Communications Ltd.) till 1983, he worked for DoT (Department of Telecom) from 1983 to 2000, and BSNL from 2000 to 2006, in various capacities, including Director Satellite Maintenance, Western Telecom Region, and General Manager Mobile Services in Maharashtra and the North East circles.

Since December 2006 he has been with TCIL in various capacities. He has been instrumental in the successful implementation of the prestigious Pan African e-Network Project.

He has been a visiting faculty on Business of Telecom Management in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and Advanced Mobile Communications Systems in University of Mumbai, Pune University and Advanced Level Telecom Training Centre (ALTTC).

A Life Fellow of IETE (Institution of Electronics and Telecom Engineers). A Member of IEEE (Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), and a member of the Executive Committee of the Delhi Section.

  • A member of the ITU APT Foundation of India, and currently its Vice Chairman.
  • A Member of Broadband India Forum.

He is a Director on Boards of TTL (Tamil Telecommunications Limited) and TBL International, TCIL Saudi Ltd., Bharati Hexacom Limited.

He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Started his career with Yamaha Motor CO as EA to the President of the Company.

Was responsible for setting up the biggest Retail Network of Retail Assets for HDFC Bank in India. Then turned an entrepreneur established a backend company MATRIX and moved on to Establish a BPO/KPO and got acquired by AXIS COGENT a subsidiary of AXIS IT &T LTD. Was COO of acquired entity and then became a Consultant for the BPO and MSME/SME segment Have helped Companies to grow manifold and also brought Operational Excellence.

Is on the board of Leisure Hotels and Haveils a startup in the Travel industry, has been instrumental in growing this company to revenue of $0.4 Million in a span of one year.

Works as a Consultant and on the Advisory Board of ICCS one of the largest BPOs of India .Joined the company in 2013 and built the company from an strength of 400 to 5000+ employees and 7 delivery centers in India and a multiple of 15X in revenues .From a 0.7 Million USD company to 12 Million USD in seven years.

Jitendra Sharma with his 20+ years of experience in Indian KPO Industry is Developing Thought Leadership in Customer Experience and Digital transformation domain. Jitendra has spent large part of his carrier in the area of interaction management and the way people think about digital transformation and different interaction touch points.

Jitendra throughout his carrier has worked on business transformation in KPO Sector in India, US and Europe. Jitendra with his Strong techno-commercial experience in running and supporting business functions with team building spirit is one of the founding members of KPO Council Of India.

Jitendra is keen to work with all the KPOC stake holders on this journey of implementing Digital transformation and plans to act as a bridge between them.
